Two recent articles span 100 years of history.

Links are here to two recent articles of mine, one from The American Spectator, an online journal based in Washington, DC, and the other from Hospodarske Noviny, a newspaper based in Prague, Czech Republic.

The American Spectator, an irreverent monthly online periodical, published my thoughts about the Czechs and Slovaks and what their 1993 “Velvet Divorce” and subsequent very good relations might portend for the European Union (EU).  “Europe’s Post-Modern Imperium: A Good Divorce Can Beat a Bad Marriage,” was posted on October 18th.  Based on a talk I gave at the Woodrow Wilson International Center for Scholars on October 4th, the article is here: https://spectator.org/a-good-divorce-can-beat-a-bad-marriage/

Hospodářské Noviny, the Czech version of The Wall Street Journal, published an article of mine about Tomas G. Masaryk and his revolutionary collaborators, “Why Masaryk and His Collaborators Succeeded,” which appeared both online and in print on October 26th.  Here share the English version of this article: “Why Masaryk and His Collaborators Succeeded.”

Cheers!
